Dietes grandiflora - Fortnight Lily

Fortnight Lily is a showy South African iris that blooms almost year-round.  Perennial in warm zones 8-10, its willowy foliage adds lush green to desert gardens. It's drought tolerant and undemanding, and produces white butterfly-like blooms almost year round.

Fortnight Lily grows easily from seed, then spreads to dense clumps of 4' slender foliage that always look fresh. It thrives in sun or shade, is hardy down to 15 degrees, and looks terrific in a pot.  Great for mass plantings.
