Kyoto Red carrot is a Japanese heirloom traditionally grown in the Kyoto area. It's sweet tasting and deep scarlet.
The color appears when baby carrots are only 3" long. They grow long and slender, tapered and are especially sweet.
Carrots love cool weather and grow best in rich fluffy soil. 70-90 days. Plant them in fall or early spring for maximum sweetness.
