Painted Mountain Corn - Rare Heirloom seeds

This beautiful rainbow dent corn was bred Dave Christensen of Montana over many years. He crossed more than 50 strains grown by homesteaders and Native Americans in harsh climates.

Painted Mountain germinates easily in colder soils and is ready to harvest much sooner than modern hybrids. And it's gorgeous. It's edible when very young, but is not like fresh sweet corn. Though many seed companies claim it's delicious, there is plenty of yellow corn around for dinner. Save this rare beauty to admire. It will retain its lovely random colors in a basket or on a wreath for many moons. And you can always save some to plant.

Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep, soil temperatures should be 70 degrees or warmer for best results. 

Keep soil moist, but not soaking wet.
